History
Zainab Panjwani Memorial Hospital works under the umbrella of Panjwani Charitable Foundation. This Foundation was established in the year 1989 by late Dr. Mohammad Hussain Panjwani.
Dr. Panjwani belonged to a prominent business family hailing from Gujrat of India. Following the partition of Sub-continent his family chose Pakistan as its ultimate homeland. After acquiring his PhD in Development Economics, Dr. Panjwani joined the family enterprise and alongside developing his business continued to engage closely with the world of academia. He regularly presented papers and spoke at various forums on socioeconomic challenges and was an ardent supporter for the cause of human development.
In order to institutionalize and ensure continuity of his numerous philanthropic ventures and givings, Dr. Panjwani set up the Panjwani Charitable Foundation with the primary objective of supporting the cause of health and education. The Foundation has several world class projects to its credit. It also extends significant support to individuals and organizations serving the cause of humanity in the areas of education, skill development, health services, and poverty alleviation.

In recognition of these worthy contributions to Pakistan, Nadira Panjwani has been twice decorated by the State of Pakistan with the most prestigious state awards of Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2001 and Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 2005.
The Panjwani Foundation remains comitted to the cause of human uplift and betterment and shall continue to render its services for the promotion of this cause.
